Gorge - IR by junkster78 Gorge - IR by junkster78
Shot in the gorge today. Great day, remembered that I had my IR filter with me, so I setup and shot this from Vista House.

I was always curious regarding IR photography. I have a filter but haven't had the chance to fully experiment yet.

How do you determine the appropriate shutter speed? Any suggestions would be great.

Thanks :)

you close down the apature as far as it'll go to achieve maximum focal length (IR Light focuses at a different frequency than normal light). Set your exposure to 1+ second(s). Start experimenting. There are tutorials around here for it too however. I would check *photo-class.

REally beautiful shot, almost looks too perfect and serene to be a photograph.
What gorge was this taken at?
